The evening was unseasonably mild on the 27th of February, and hundreds joined us for the Yamaha R1 Launch night.
We were delighted that so many turned out, to view what must surely be top contender for the title of Sports King of 2009.
We were lucky enough to have all three colours on show, having taken delivery of our R1 race bikes that day, and were able to fire up the bike during the evening, so that the unique sound of the crossplane motor could be heard for the first time in Bedfordshire.
Over 50 of you entered our own competition to win one of three prizes in our in House draw. Ian Smith walked away with a new Yamaha race paddock Jacket, Matthew Pryor a Yamaha sports back pack, and Dave Nicholas a Yamaha Paddock race T-Shirt- well done to all who entered our draw, and answered the questions correctly, and to those of you who received one of the 50 goody bags we had up for grabs.
Our attendees were not so lucky in the National Yamaha main draw, to win a Brand new R1, or a VIP trip to the Catalunya MotoGP. These prizes were won elsewhere, so the longed for phone cal from Yamaha was not made to Flitwick.
However, a good time was had by all, the Buffet table was stripped bare, and many of you walked away with one of the many bargains up for grabs on the night!
